VFX Supervisor
Got my first experience of the “Magic of VFX” around 18 years back at as CGI animator been part of India’s first science fiction TV series “Captain Vyom” That experience soused the germ of VFX & Film making in general.
It’s been a journey, from my 1st film, where I was part of the team who did the Aamir Khan starrer film “GULAM” in which the lead actor jumped in front of a heading train. Henceforth everything was on-job learning, self and from collogues, both junior and seniors.

For me the most satisfying and rewarding thing about this profession, which I enjoy, is that of watching the final output on screen as the way it was visualized before even it was shot, right at the scripting level.
What I have enjoyed been part of this process is that the teamwork which goes into every possible shot. It’s a collaboration of each & everyone from the junior most roto/paint artist to a VFX supervisor extending to the cinematographer, the production designer & the director.
After having worked with few studios like Maya entertainment, EFX, PIXION & RELIANCE Media works, finally a year back have started my own company NY VFXWAALA partnering with VFX Supervisor Naveen Paul in collaboration with Ajay Devghan films.
Within a year at NY VFXWAALA with a team of around 100 talented artist delivered project like Drishyam, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Tamasha, Dilwale & the magnanimous Bajirao Mastani which has won the Star screen awards, Zee cine awards. This film also won the prestigious ASIAN FILM AWARDS where films from around 70 countries & 9 nominations from in various categories were nominated. Bajirao Mastani was the only film which won the VFX award for INDIA this year.
With around 150 feature films, few awards, and working with some of the best talents and teams in the country, the quest for that one complicated shot which gives sleepless nights continues.
So from CGI Animator to Compositor, to VFX supervisor, to heading a VFX dept & finally taking a leap of faith on starting a VFX house, which has to grow in a culture where talent as cherished & respected, the dream continues.
